Josh and Dan's Blue Lakes Country Club Wedding
We’ve been a bit overwhelmed with such a busy summer and fall, that we are finally catching our breath and are excited to start posting about all of our fun summer weddings!
Josh and Dan had the most beautiful wedding at Blue Lakes Country Club in Twin Falls this summer. I absolutely loved getting to know the two of them and their family and friends. The day was full of all sorts of fun little touches, including a shot of tequila with a favorite uncle before walking the aisle, putting together a time capsule at the ceremony, a cute little newspaper telling their story that was a memento for their guests, confetti on the dance floor and so much more!
I always love meeting with, doing engagement photos and just getting to know a couple and their story before the wedding so that when I show up on their wedding day, we already know each other and the couple is comfortable in front of my lens. Hearing these stories is such a great way to get to know the couple and who they are. Josh and Dan's story didn't disappoint!
They met when a mutual friend invited them to a picnic in Meridian Hill Park in Washington, DC. Josh, a photo enthusiast himself, brought along his camera for an impromptu photo shoot in the park. Shortly after that, the couple went on their first real date and their journey together began.
They have the cutest proposal story. Josh planned a beautiful hike in the Shenandoah National Park, secretly setting up his camera to capture the moment when he proposed. Of course Dan said yes!
Thanks to all of the vendors who made Josh and Dan’s vision come to life! Dea and her team did a wonderful job!
