Rachel + George got married in Stanley!
I loved working with Rachel and George on their wedding in Stanley. It's so great when a couple knows exactly what they want their wedding to be like, and then it all comes together.I always ask people about how they met and how they got engaged, because I love to hear people's stories. Rachel and George met on Tinder, and have a very cute story about their first date. They met in a bar, which was followed by another and lots of great conversation. When they found the Bridge Street Grill in Stanley, they thought it very appropriate to be married in a bar. Of course, a field overlooking the Salmon River wasn't such a bad place for their ceremony! Here's the story of how they got engaged, "We were in Porto, Portugal over Thanksgiving. While Rachel's friends all predicted George would propose on the trip, 3 days in it hadn't happened, and the thought had completely left Rachel's mind. The morning of the proposal, we left to walk around the city, and after touring a few 11th century churches, made our way to a bookstore (a traditional stop in every city we visit). Unbeknownst to Rachel, George planned to propose in the bookstore. However, the store was incredibly crowded that day, and shy George couldn't bring himself to propose in front of 100 strangers (Rachel also gets stage-fright and is thankful he didn't propose there too). So we continued touring that day, and at sunset, George led the way to a monastery overlooking all of Porto. It was there that George popped the question. It was beautiful and perfect and words cannot describe it. Rachel, of course, said yes."Rachel and George were so much fun to work with!
