Vy and Nick's Indian Idaho Wedding!
Indian weddings are a treat for any photographer, with all the amazing contrasting colors, the intricate jewelry, the ritual of applying the henna, the wrapping of the sari-- and that’s before you even get to the ceremony! For me, getting the chance to photograph an Indian wedding at Galena this summer was a particular treat, because as many of you know, I grew up in India and am married to a great Indian guy. Vy and Nick’s wedding brought back memories of my own wedding here in the valley 8 years ago, which was a blast!Their wedding had so many contrasting and complementing elements-- bringing two cultures and families together, bringing the traditions and rituals of a Hindu ceremony to the beautiful and rustic setting that is Senate Meadows and Galena Lodge. And Vy and Nick and their families couldn’t have been more gracious and wonderful to work with. It was such a sweet and happy event and I was so honored to be a part of it.
