Falling for Photos

The beginning of October in the Wood River Valley is something of a photographer’s dream. The span between Bellevue and northern Sun Valley/Ketchum has a perfect elevation range to capture every aspect of Fall in its various forms. This is great news in a lot of ways. If you’re looking for an alternative to the classic orange/red saturation there are the beautiful golden grasses of Bellevue. If you want the combination of yellows and light greens, Hailey is your spot. If you want the vibrant red and oranges, we’re on the tail end of those colors in Ketchum. And if you’re looking for a more wintery muted look, we can go just a bit north from Ketchum to find that style. While this golden time doesn’t last for long, there are still a couple of weeks left before the cold snaps typical of late October take the leaves with them.

Not really into the leaf-centric photos? October is a great time for some Real Life Photo Sessions! Capture some of the traditional autumn activities— kids sporting their Halloween costumes, carving pumpkins, putting up seasonal decorations, or baking in the kitchen.

Either way, if you’re not quite sure the photos you’re looking for, try not to worry too much. Fall has so many opportunities that no matter where/when we get you in the photos will be great!
