From Digital to Physical: Photos as Art in Your Home

One of the reasons I love having a studio here in town is the ability to bring people’s images to life after a session. To have clients come in and see their images for the first time on a big screen while they take time out of their busy schedules to sit together and simply enjoy. In the hustle and bustle of life, it’s easy to just send folks a link to their images and cross the editing process off the list. But photos are meant to be so much more than that. The idea of client photos languishing on a hard drive or an obscure desktop folder takes away from the joy that photos bring. And that’s the point, isn’t it? To enjoy the images with your family and loved ones!

But how do you pick out which images you really want to print? How do you know what medium or surface to chose? There are so many options it can be overwhelming!

Good news. I’m here to help! I love chatting with clients during their pre-session meeting about the images they have in mind and what their vision is for how to use them in their decor. Once their photos are ready I help them compare images and pick their favorites, we talk about which images will look best in various spots in their home. Then we look around the studio at printing options and sizes— I have most, if not all, of the products I offer as samples hung up in the studio which really helps with visualizing what your prints will look like!

No matter what your interior design style is, we have printing options to match. Gallery walls, canvas wraps, metal prints, wood blocks, matted prints, and more. During your pre-session we’ll talk about what colors you feel work in your home best - although black and white is always a beautifully classic look too!

Interested in booking your photo session to get the process started? Check out all of the options here, or give me a call if you’d like to learn more/create something more customized!
