Local Business Highlight: Clear Mind Graphics

I’ve been lucky to work with Sarah multiple times over the years. Whether it’s imagery for her yoga career or photographing the wonderful business she’s built with her company Clear Mind Graphics, Sarah is someone who can light up every room and has a knack for building community. In our first installment of “Local Business Highlights” of the year, I chatted with Sarah about Clear Mind Graphics (where we often have the chance to collaborate on projects), what she loves about her work there, and why the Wood River Valley is the place she calls home. Check out the full interview below!

Tell us a little bit about yourself & your business - How did you start Clear Mind Graphics? Why did you choose the Wood River Valley as your home base?

Clear Mind Graphics was started in 2007 and became a partnership between myself (Sarah Murphy) and Laurie Christian in 2014. The Wood River Valley is our home because we love to play in the mountains with our friends. We enjoy that it is a tight-knit community that generates endless connections to the outside world, which proves to be great for a small marketing agency. We work in an online environment that is ever-changing. It's our mission to stay at the forefront of technology and design because the companies we work with have an international reach.

What do you love the most about your job (or what are some of your favorite aspects)? What do you feel sets you apart from others in the industry?

I love that our team gets to step into various and diverse industries on a daily basis and think creatively on how to problem solve through design. We are constantly evolving and expanding our expertise in the ever-changing technical field, keeping us on our toes! However, it’s creating beautiful visual marketing tools for our clients to set them apart from their competition that keeps us coming back for more!

We’re focusing on local businesses for our business highlights - can you tell me about your experience as a business in the Wood River Valley? What do you love about this community that you want to share? Do you have a particular moment that stands out to you?

I love that even though we live in a small community we always have a chance to meet new people and will most likely have a human connection to them. It’s refreshing to meet people who have moved here from all over the world and within the first few minutes of meeting them you have this beautiful place in common and probably with other people who also live in our community. It seals bonds faster than living in a big city. With that comes an incredibly loyal clientele. We take care of each other long term.

Do you have a favorite project you’ve worked on recently that you’d like to share (or one that really stood out to you)?

Lloyd Construction’s new website is the most recent new project that I had a blast working on. We’ve been working with them for 13 years and I feel like we’ve grown up together! As humans and as a business. They have such integrity in the work they do and trust us to showcase that work through print, web, and social media. Their new website has some beautiful and modern graphic elements that allow the clean lines of their work to shine.
