Golden Light with the Kashino Family

I absolutely love shooting “A Year in the Life” stories. Our Year in the Life program gives us a chance to capture the first year of life for your child in three sessions - newborn, 6 months, and one year. That first year when a new child joins your family is a crazy time. Filled with wonderful excitement, crazy sleep deprivation and sweet moments. It can be a time of incredible growth as you challenge your relationship, as your family becomes more complete and as you watch your little one grow into a wonderful little human being. I will never forget the sense of accomplishment that Gurmeet and I felt when each of our girls reached their first birthday. Of course, when you look at someone else’s images, all of those wonderfully strong emotions often don’t come through. Because these things are personal. But if I do my job right at all, the images that we make together, of your family, over that first year of your baby’s life, will always help bring back some of those feelings. And that is a special thing that I am go grateful to get to do.

I just took the final photos that tell the story of little Kaius’ first year . The Kashino Family has been so wonderful to work with and I’ve loved to watch them grow as a family over the past year.

We had the most beautiful light out Croy Canyon for our last session, where I got the chance to photograph them just being together, just being themselves. I love when I have the opportunity to capture kids just being kids - running, playing with bubbles, snuggling up to their parents - there are so many sweet moments that photos allow us to savor forever.
