Ryan & Kristen's Small Wedding

2020 has flipped things in all kinds of ways. While it’s easy to focus on how different things are, I’ve been enjoying picking out all of the things that have changed my perspective for the better. I’m trying to make an effort to connect with friends and family that I haven’t talked to enough in the last few years, I spend more time outside than I used to, and I cherish my health and the health of the people in my life.

I’ve also been loving the intimacy and creativity of 2020 weddings!

Ryan and Kristen, like many others, had plans for a larger wedding surrounded by all of their friends and family. However, since the idea of a big wedding anytime in the near future didn’t feel right for them - they decided they wanted to get married anyway and that a small and intimate wedding was the right choice for them!

They decided on the first week of September with the ceremony to be held at Weyakkin Ranch in Ketchum, Idaho with Ryan’s family. Because Kristen’s family could not travel from Georgia for the event, her parents joined her over Facetime as she got ready for the day.

The ceremony was elegant and charming and the weather couldn’t have been better! The couple shared their vows, shed happy tears, and sealed the deal with a kiss! After some photos around Sun Valley and Ketchum, the wedding party settled into a special dinner created by Chef Rodrigo and his team from Vintage. Each course was crafted around a special moment in Ryan and Kristen’s relationship together— a favorite dish from a trip to Europe, what they ate on their first date— a wonderful and thoughtful way to enjoy a meal! Dinner was followed by music, dancing, and of course - a delicious carrot cake from Simone at CK’s!

A couple of weeks after their Idaho wedding, the couple had another celebration with Kristen’s family in Georgia.

Congrats to Ryan and Kristen, I so enjoyed being a part of your celebration and can’t wait to see where the future takes you!
