Clare + Vinyo Get Married

Saying that I loved shooting Clare and Vinyo’s wedding would be an understatement. Right from the get-go this couple had my heart. Their engagement session was scheduled for a particularly snowy day, on their way out to the location their car slid off the road and we had to dig them out for a good 30 minutes! Instead of rescheduling their session, they said it was all part of the adventure and bundled up for a snowball fight. You can’t help but be happy when you’re around these two!

Together they’ve lived in California and Idaho over the last five years (and now live in Chicago full-time!)— their love for the mountains brought them to Sun Valley to celebrate in this majestic setting with everyone they love the most. Their wedding celebration kicked off Friday night with cocktails upstairs at Whiskey’s where they welcomed guests. After getting ready Saturday morning (and a quick first look!), the wedding party made their way to the Sun Valley Club for the ceremony. The weather even cooperated nicely so they could say their vows outside!

Their ceremony was unlike any other, it was filled with sweetness and laughter the whole time. Vinyo’s best friend of many years married them, and he told everyone their story along with hilarious anecdotes. Vinyo and Clare had actually dated for some time in high school but lost touch for almost a decade before the stars aligned and they found each other again through Facebook!

They had actually initially planned to get married much earlier and in a tropical location, but due to the pandemic (much like many others) they had to postpone, but were ultimately super happy with their decision to get married in the mountains!

After the ceremony everyone made their way inside for the reception and of course, lots of dancing! The amount of joy and laughter shared in that room was absolutely palpable—clearly I’m not the only one who felt the infectious happiness of Vinyo and Clare.

Thank you so much to Clare, Vinyo, Benny (their sweet pup!), and their family and friends for having me as a part of their wonderful journey. Congratulations on your big day and I can’t wait to see where life takes you!
