Our little Kyra is 10!
It’s hard to believe that our little Kyra is 10! I know that I am a little late in doing this post— things have been rather crazy lately, but double digits is a big one and I didn’t want to miss doing a post!
It seems like just yesterday that Asha was 3, Gurmeet and I were putting the finishing touches on our new house in Della View, and I went into labor during the Halloween Hoopla. Just 6 hours later Kyra burst into our lives like a little whirlwind and two days after that we took Asha trick or treating in our new neighborhood with little Kyra strapped to me in her ergo.
And now it’s been 10 years! 10 years full of the craziness of life. All of the busyness, ordinary and extraordinary moments, challenges and joys. And here we are, with our little baby in fourth grade, ready to take on the world.
Having kids is such a crazy and wonderful thing—I think that Kyra is the perfect combination of so many of the best parts of Gurmeet and I. She is a complicated little girl— a paradox of a kid— wonderfully sweet and at the same time bursting with strong emotions that she is learning to control. Strong willed, focused, disciplined, and a disaster all at the same time. She’s a girl with a big personality, who knows what she wants, who beats up on her big sister but still relies on Asha for comfort and support.
Kyra is our little angel. We love her with all of our hearts and are so blessed to have her in our lives.
